Software Engineer in Berlin

At CoinUnited.io, you will join the Berlin engineering team building the platform that gives traders one account to reach crypto, stocks, indices, forex, commodities and pre-IPO markets around the clock. We have been building since 2018. You will build features traders use across global markets, with ownership over what you ship.

This role is based in our Berlin office and forms part of our operations across Europe. You will work to Berlin market hours and support the international order flow connected to the Germany market. Berlin is one of our engineering hubs, where the team builds and runs the platform that keeps markets open around the clock.

CoinUnited.io is a crypto-powered trading platform, building since 2018, with teams across 19 countries. We give traders one account to reach global markets around the clock: crypto, stocks, indices, forex, commodities and pre-IPO.

What you'll do

• Build and ship reliable features across web, app and backend for a real-time trading platform used around the clock.
• Design, write and review code that holds up under live market conditions where correctness and uptime matter.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineers to turn requirements into working features that users can trade with.
• Diagnose and fix issues in production systems that handle live prices, orders and account data.
• Write tests and contribute to monitoring so problems are caught before they reach traders.
• Take part in code review and help raise the quality and consistency of the codebase.

What success looks like

In your first six months

• You have shipped several features to production that traders use, with code reviewed and supported end to end.
• You work independently across at least one part of the stack and contribute to others.
• You are trusted to own a feature or service area and respond to issues that affect live trading.

What you'll bring

Must-have

• Solid programming fundamentals and experience shipping software in a team, in at least one modern language such as Go, Python, TypeScript or Java.
• Comfortable working across at least one of web, mobile or backend, with willingness to learn the others.
• Able to write clean, testable code and reason about correctness and edge cases.
• Clear communicator who can collaborate in a fast-moving, in-office team.

Nice-to-have

• Experience with real-time systems, financial data or high-traffic production services.
• Familiarity with crypto, trading platforms or global markets.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD or observability tooling.
